9 days left... Just 9 school days left until summer vacation! Although saying goodbye to my school will be sad, the idea of no school for 2 months is just irresistable. Even after those 2 months, I will begin grade 7... An exciting experience on it's own. June 25th (the last day of school) is not the only notable date having to do with my grade 6 graduation. Saturday, June 20th will be the awsomest graduation party ever... Hosted by yours truly (me!) of course! And Monday, June 22nd will be the school graduation ceremony (woohooo!), when which everyone will be presenting speeches... Mine being the best, no doubt!
No, dont worry... of course I'm not that aroguant! Jeez! You people don't have a sense of humour!

Maxkimming
I just got back from an overnight yesterday, and boy am I tired! I bet I could sleep all day! It was the year-end overnight for the grade 6s. Let me just say, most of the activities included running all through and around the Maxkimming forest (which is big). If I wasn't ready to colapse after the first activity, I sure was after the second... and the third... and the fourth... can you see where this is going? Anyway, not only that, but they kept us up until like one ocklock in the morning. Do you want to guess what time they got us up? 7 am. That's only six hours of sleep. My cabin had electricity and a washroom but I feel sorry for some of the other kids' cabins. There was no electricity or washrooms! The closest toilet to them was about 30 metres away from their cabin. I bet you can imagine how annoying it could be to have to find your flashlight in the pitch-black of 2 am so that you can walk outside your already cold and wet cabin into the muddy, very wet, very cold, outside. Not only that, but you need to put on your rain boots so that all the clothes ( more like pajamas ) up to your knees don't get completely covered with slosh-like mud. Now you have to walk the 3o metres ( plus your pretty disoriented... it is only 2 ) in the dark, with only a flashlight to show you the path ( even though there is actually no path, you just kind of have to find your way to the washrooms ) and your not even sure where exactly the washrooms are because this is your first ( and only ) night at Maxkimming. So now you've made it to the washrooms, and there is a swarm of misquitos inside every single stall and the sink. After going to the washroom and getting completely eaten alive, you walk outside to find you've forgotten to leave a trail of bread-crumbs ( whoops ). Now it takes you half-an-hour to find your way back to your cabin ( by the way it's still like 5 degrees celsius ), get into your bed, and try to fall asleep after that big fiasco... fun huh? And now you've just wasted about an entire hour of sleep-time. Woohoo! You can bet they were the happiest campers in the morning ( yeah, right ). The food was ok though. We had smores outside, but the thunder-storm kind of ruined our plans for that, so we had to bake them in the oven. We still got wet trying to keep the fire going for thunder struck though. :( Other than all the bad stuff, I guess it still rocked.

Samsung Rant/Slyde
I just got my new texting phone and I love it! The qwerty keypad is easily accessible, the keys never stick, there is a variety of features, and it has a camera (which has great quality!). I got it yesterday... Saturday, May 16th. I've since sent about twenty-five text messages. It's a bit heavy, but it's nice that way. It's also kind of big. I saw many complaints about that in the reviews for the phone, which is kind of stupid because all texting phones are kind of big. I mean, they've got to fit like forty keys in there! Even though calling isn't it's primary purpose, the phone reception is great. Ooooh, I just got a text from my dad! It's also pretty cool that you can text message something to an email account... You see, I always text to my dad's email because he doesn't have text.

Star Treck
O.K... Look, just because I went to see Star Trek in theaters, does not make me a nerd. It actually has a good plot, with great dialogue, and the special effects looked real. That is actually amazing for Star Trek, which usually has horrendous plot, cheesy dialogue, and the special effects usually look like they've been drawn with crayon. The comedic aspect was great, with jokes that actually made me laugh. I have a bit to complain about though, in the scene on the frozen planet. The snow look like white confetti, the ice wouldn't have frozen in the pattern that it did, which suggested a small, frozen waterfall, and he would have gotten horrible frostbite by the time he got to the shelter. Trust me. I know these things. I'm Canadian. I'm going to have to give it 2 thumbs up, a 4/5, or an 8/10. Overall, definitely worth watching. And personally, I'd say worth a second visit to the theaters. A buyer for sure!

School of Rock
So I just played my guitar in front of like 500 people last Friday, and you'd better believe it was the funnest thing I've ever done! I did it at Churchill school of rock, playing at the grand finally with "Twist and Shout" by The Beatles. I also sang with the choir. We sang about 15 songs in total, a few of them being "Message in a Bottle", "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree", "Magic Bus", "Should I Stay or Should I Go?", "Land of Confusion", "Viva La Vida", and of course "Twist and Shout"! The theme was "The British Invasion", so all the Artists were British. We sang some songs by The Beatles, Cat Stevens, KT Tunstall, Pete Townshend, The Rolling Stones, and of course a few by my own school... CHURCHILL! I had so much fun!

Babysitting
Well, I'm babysitting tonight. I'm on the computer now though because the kids are asleep. Kieran and Ceilidh to be exact. Ceilidh was pretty whiny at first, but then she started warming up to me. Parents are out to the "Siam Bistro." Emily's here too, helping me, but Ceilidh doesn't know her too well so Emily can't do much there. Kieran spent the entire night in his parent's room because he's sick. Poor thing, but I think Ceilidh was happy with the extra attention while Kieran was napping. She's so cute; She just fell asleep here on the couch while watching television. I just set her up lying down with no lights but the T.V. and she drifted off faster than you could say "cute, little, easy-going baby!" Parents are getting home soon, but then probably going back out again to the Carleton Tavern. Oh, they just got home, look at that timing.. WOW!
Knowing
So I watched a movie today. It was called knowing. I'd probably say that it got about 4 out of 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, and 7 out of 10... It was a horror movie but it wasn't overboard scary. Just scary enough to scare the wimp (me) out of her socks. If it was overboard scary, I would have been scared out of a lot more than my socks. Really. More like scared of my living daylights! I went with Nicole, my mom, and my dad... and of course me. It was soooo fun!

Still sitting here watching talk shows
Yes, as the title states, I'm still here at home.... watching boring television. You know, talk shows are very intriguing though. No, I don't mean that I think listening to the incessant chatter of Dr. Phil is interesting, what I mean is... Why would anyone be willing to go onto national television, to discuss their PRIVATE problems? I think it's really silly! They could just go to a normal psychologist instead. They would probably be just as good. See my point?! You know what? This reminds me of a Weird Al Yankovic song. No, I'm NOT obsessed! Anyway, here's the link... but by the way, this one is not near as long as the other one. I can just hear your sighs of relief now!

...Unfortunately, I've searched the entire web (and it's big) but not one site has this song's audio version.... I know, EVEN YOUTUBE! So I guess you'll just have to settle with this. lol. TTFN, TaTaForNow!

Not another one!
Aww crap! It would seem someone out there has decide that I need a good tormenting. Good for them. They've succeeded. As of yet I haven't even gotten over this horrid cold and there's another sickness just waiting to torture me. I really feel sorry for Ceilidh though. She's the one that had the virus in the first place. Nobody's going to have blankets tonight. She managed to puke on every single one of them. And the best part is that none of the blankets even fit in the washer. So, -but I'm just estimating here- it should be like 40 bucks in total, just to clean them. But it doesn't stop there, oh no. She puked on me, she stuck her infected hand into my mouth, and she ate from the same bowl as me... WONDERFUL! That last word contained copious amounts of sarcasm, for those who haven't figured it out. Ceilidh had such a bad fever today though, I'd almost let it go. Almost. She must have felt terrible. I'm not looking forward to this one, myself. My quiet little hum of *sniffle sniffle* will soon turn into *sniffle sniffle barf barf* and the slow disappearance of Tylenol will soon turn into a slow disappearance of Tylenol and Pepto Bismal (Eeeeewww! I HATE Pepto Bismol). =S
Don't worry, there are no weasels
Some of my readers may be wondering why my blog is called "Hey,You've Got Weasels On Your Face." It is not because you have weasels on your face, though I do have some people checking the mirror. I have named my blog after a line in one of my favourite songs by "Weird Al Yankovic." Now, I'd love to write the lyrics but there 263 lines, 1816 words, 9522 characters, and it's five pages long. That's in small type. So you see why I can't. Anyway, I'll include the link to the site I got it on, so anybody who is interested can take a look...

... plus, there's an audio. Just listen for the line that goes "Hey, you've got weasels on your face." Uhhh... you may have to be a little patient though. The song is eleven minutes long. :D

Ceilidh the mastermind
Ceilidh (pronounced Kaylee... yeah I know) is the cutest little thing in the entire world. She manages to crack you up, no matter what mood your in. This week she learned to sing "the imperial march"... you know, that classic John Williams tune from Star Wars. It's so hilarious to be walking around your house and all of a sudden, hear a little baby voice singing "doo doo doo doo doodoo." Other than that, some of her latest tricks include touching her nose when told to do so, touching her head when told to do so, grabbing her hair when told to do so, raising her arms when told to do so, and frequently saying the word "up" in context and when asked to raise her arms. She is the most attentive little 1 year old I've ever met, plus she understands everything you say, even if you are'nt speaking directly to her. She will notice things that upset her... anywhere from "mummy" leaving for work to the fact that i'm eating the last chocolate-chip cookie. You could say too smart for her own good but I prefer too cute to be true. And to think that just one year ago she was the sleeping and crying -but still tremendously cute- blob. ;)
Ahhhh, summer!
Well, it's nearing the end of April and I am excited for the fast-approaching date of June 21... the first day of Summer! It's been above 20 degrees Celsius all week long (which would be even greater if my cold would permit me a walk outside). Anyway, the beautiful flowers are blooming, the beaches are thawing, the hose is getting ready to be sprayed at my brother, and my only complaint is the wind. I just recently took Ceilidh to the park with my mom which was followed by a bit of gardening and a lot of sun-burning. Ouch... I am definitely not making that mistake again! I think I'll use sunscreen next time! And there will be a next time... though it hurt a lot, the park and gardening was really fun!
Being sick sucks
You know that feeling when you've been really sick and haven't been to work or school for a few days, how you get so bored and there's nothing to do but sleep, read, and surf the net? This may sound kind of ironic but I'm getting really tired of sleeping. Plus, there's nothing to watch on television... just a bunch of commercial-filled medical shows and "Judge Judy", aggghhh! I really don't care about someone I've never met in Saskatoon who is suing her landlord because another tenant's dog kept pissing on the front lawn. I need to get out more! Unfortunately, I can't because I'm stuck in my house with a horrible cold. I swear I've probably used about half a ton of Kleenex (not exaggerating) and my poor nose can feel it. Anyway I have to go take more Tylenol now =. If I see any more reality/talk/medical/law shows my head is gonna burst!
